We make the experience of having family portraits easy and convenient for New Zealand families with young children. Duo Photography is unlike any other family portrait company. We offer families a professional, convenient and fun experience all in your own home!
A first in New Zealand and unique to Duo photography, our fully equipped mobile studio allows our family portrait photographers to get those natural family portraits in the comfort of your home (we don't need much room either!)
We are well geared for shooting in most locations and in most conditions. There is no need for extensive planning and child management, coordination, rustling and cajoling practices. We simply turn up at the agreed time and take care of it all.
Our standard mobile portrait sessions are either at 10am or 2pm on weekends, however alternative times and days can also be arranged.
Our Mobile Portrait Studios are designed to capture images that reflect your family's life today. This is done by not only shooting on a white background using your own props and toys, but also capturing your home and lifestyle environment e.g. your garden, a nearby park or beach and other locations that are relevant and meaningful to your family. The resulting images along with HD video makes for a truly high value, rewarding and relevant experience.

After your images have been carefully edited (about 2-4 weeks post shoot) your photographer will return to your home for your personal viewing. This is a relaxed showing of all the images from your families shoot on a big screen. You are welcome to make an evening of it and invite extended family if you wish!
At this time you will also be able to choose three images which we will supply as 6x8 inch complimentary print enlargements as part of your family portrait shoot experience. You will also have the opportunity to purchase other products from your shoot. We have many exciting packages available and will bring samples of canvases, books, etc. and will walk you through all your options. Our exciting products are designed for the modern family offering choice and flexibility. But don't worry - there is no "high pressure" selling and no obligation to buy.
