Our aim is simple: to break the mold in traditional family portrait photography! We want every New Zealand family to enjoy natural, fun memories of their lives captured in a truly unique and inspiring way. From the photo shoot to hanging an image on the wall, we at Duo want the experience to be emotionally rewarding.
Step One: How it Works

First off, since we are a mobile portrait studio, we come to you! We provide you with one of our highly trained professional photographers to shoot you in a style that is fun, involving, trusting, and safe for parents and their children. As a result, the photos are lively, fun, and natural. Our photographic style is designed to reflect you and your family’s life today. This is done using not only a white backdrop with your toys and props, but also capturing your home and lifestyle environment i.e. your garden, nearby beach or park, etc. We usually spend about 2-3 hours on each shoot. This ensures that there is a wide variety of photos for you to choose from. To see some of our recent images check out our gallery.
Step Two: The Show and Tell
Your Choices and Options
The viewing takes place in your home on a big screen, with your feet up and cup of coffee in hand. You get to choose 3 complimentary images* as part of your shoot. We’ll bring along examples of books and canvases, and walk you through the options. Our products are designed for the modern family, offering choice and flexibility, but don’t worry! There is no obligation or “high pressure” selling! However, you are expected have a show and tell veiwing and to choose your photos on the night – as many or as little as you want. Unfortunately we can’t keep the files after the viewing, so choosing on the night is how we offer our service. You can see our full range of products here.

Step Three: Enjoy and Share Your Images
After you make your selections, we process your order. A short while later we will send you your beautiful images ready to display and show your family and friends.
